food adventures in portland

my roommates and i decided to take a spur of the moment trip to portland with no plans. it turned into a great day filled with food and beer. when we got there we found out there was a beer festival going on, which i will blog about some other day.


at night we did go to andina, a fantastic peruvian restaurant in the pearl district of portland.

corderito de los andes- rack of grass-fed lamb grilled to order with a Peruvian yellow potato and two cheese timbale with roasted pepper demi-glace

then we made our way to voodoo donuts. after seeing it on anthony bourdain's no reservations, this was a must and was completely worth us getting lost.
